Acupuncture

Acupuncture activates the blood, fluids, nerves and energy along the channels, which traverses the cover the entire body. When these structures are activated the body’s balance is restored thereby reducing INFLAMMATION, increasing CIRCULATION and alleviating PAIN.  Research shows stimulating effects on the central nervous system triggering the release of chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These changes may alter our experience of pain via the release of pain killing chemicals such as endorphins and natural opioids, or speed up the healing process via the release of immune system cells. By affecting the neurotransmitters and hormones of the body, acupuncture can have broad impacts on nerve impulses, organ function, and mental health. Acupuncture truly offers a full spectrum of healing!

A critical piece of finding healing with acupuncture is being sure you’re being treated by a licensed acupuncture practitioner (L.Ac.). Acupuncturist have been fully trained and licensed, (minimum 3-4 year Master’s Degree Acupuncture program and licensed and registered with the NCCAOM.) This is a very powerful yet safe medicine and extensive training is required in order to keep the public safe.
